Lyra Belacqua (Dakota Blue Richard) is an orphan girl who stays in Academy of Jordan. She has a daemon named Pantalaimon. Daemon is a kind of spirit in animal shapes. Lyra’s daemon could change anytime, because Lyra is still a child.
One day, Lyra’s curiousness and courageous determined her to find her lost friend, Roger. She went to the north pole after she got a golden compass named Alethiometer. This magicial thing could answer every question from the owner. With this compass, Lyra keep trying to find Roger. This journey made she had a great adventure: sailing with the gyptians, trapped in a big bear’s nest, and facing the wicked people which made some children as their experiment objects.
